Wondering about our approach to diversity, equity, inclusion, justice? Synchronicity Events is committed to building spaces where all people feel not only included, but celebrated and completely welcome. We see time and again that a well-built event can be the ideal place for human beings to hear each others’ points of view, learn from each other, and solidify positive relationships across the barriers of race, class, age, ability, identity and culture.

As one way of manifesting this ethos, we are so proud to tell you about our recent New Year’s celebration and cocktail party, Event Fresh! Synchronicity’s founder Alex Martin, along with curating partners Sadie Schnitzler of DIWAS Photography and Jake Taylor of Functions And Gatherings, pulled together a uniquely inspiring, meaningful boutique event experience showcasing 23 local businesses. Event Fresh, held January 10th at Seattle’s Washington Hall, was a chance to kick off 2024 with wonderful good vibes for the community, and a chance to work in service of our values.

But don’t take it from us! Here’s a review of the night, in the words of one of our Event Fresh guests:

“My guests and I were truly inspired by the creativity and passion of the local small businesses that came together to showcase their curated visions and event trends for 2024! The commitment to inclusivity and social justice from the women-owned, BIPOC-owned, and LGBTQ+-owned businesses was exceptional. The cocktail-style setting provided a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, sample delicious treats, and gain inspiration for future events.

It is truly a privilege to work with industry professionals that bring event dreams to life and contribute to creating a better future through shared experiences at live events!

It was my first time at the historic Seattle venue, Washington Hall in the Central District, and it did not disappoint! I loved the upstairs, taking in the entire event from a view. It was perfect for showcasing so many local partners and everyone in attendance had a wonderful evening making meaningful connections!”

We want to take this moment to sincerely thank all our showcase partners, who poured their innovation and excellence into this collective effort with truly stunning results! And, another big round of thanks to all our event guests, who made the night truly special.

For those who didn’t get to see it in person, here are all the juicy details:

Our gorgeous historic venue, 206 Zulu at Washington Hall was dressed head to toe for the night in saturated color by Crimson Haze and bedecked with glorious winter florals by Flower Lab.

Bamboo Beats DJs on the turntables mixed us a wonderful soundtrack throughout the night.

Macadons delighted guests by custom-printing photos and logos onto delicious fresh macarons live inside the event, using an edible-ink printer.

Functions and Gatherings brought a gay wedding altar, shining with magic and meaning.

Onstage, Energia Events built and installed a stunning custom dimensional stage set, inspired by our event graphic by Dimond Design.

The Pazific rocked the house with a short set of their booty-shaking West Coast Latin Soul and TYMIRA brought their roller dancing magic, while our forever bestie Sasha Summer Cousineau of Revel Rouser Events emcee’d the entire event with humor, grace and joy.

Guests enjoyed a trip into a surreal artistic realm with studio-style photo portraits by Dress Up Box, and a glamorous AI-enhanced photo booth experience with 321 Foto Photobooths, after a little sparkle art therapy by Yossi Face Art.

And finally, we must thank DIWAS Photography for providing excellent event photos so we can relive the magic forever.

As we start a new year, looking to the future, please remember that we can only create the future we truly desire by working together.
