This year, we outdid ourselves.

It’s a joy to touch so many lives and support so many organizations with the work we love to do. Kudos to all our clients who demonstrated unrelenting courage, heart, creativity, and resourcefulness producing their events this year. And, let’s celebrate our superstars, everyone who played a role onTeam Synchronicity 2022, the people who made all this magic happen! Meera, Rocio, Sasha, Shaun Wha, Lexi (formerly dev), Jake, Leela, Jules, Melissa and Lovely and Alex. Never-ending gratitude to you all.

Read on for a recap of this year’s events … divided into loose categories to make it more fun to read.

MESSAGES & MEANING. These clients served up panels, interviews, and deep conversations inside their events. Treasures, inspiration and nourishment for the heart and mind … we absolutely love to be a part of it.

Some brought that ENERGY. In many cases, 2022 was the year that our clients met up in-person again, inventing new events or re-launching a beloved annual event format. These parties were beautiful to the core.

Some events are all about the LEARNING - we love our conference clients! These groups were ready to dig deep on their topics, and design virtual and hybrid spaces where attendees could gather, learn and organize.

On the screen are many things: a graphic with the headline “Enable Live Captioning”, a person smiling and speaking to the camera, small icons across the bottom of the screen representing conference attendees, and a vertical chat panel on the right-hand side.]

Some kept the fundraising FULLY VIRTUAL. Many of our fundraising clients engaged their event guests remotely, in dynamic livestream events. If we had to guess, our live-streaming event methods (honed to a fine edge during lockdown days!) will be in demand for years to come.

And, we had one very special spin-off from this category; the PEPS Benefit in 2022 became a “party in your inbox”, a virtual fundraising campaign featuring a series of short videos for the community to enjoy.

Some used their OUTDOOR VOICES. This category of events was bigger this year than we’ve ever seen it. It was so fun helping our clients take it to the streets … the parks … the farms … all the outdoor spaces!

And some went BIG. Whether it was pure elegance, big guest counts, ambitious creative visions, VIPs in the house, technical complexity (hello, hybrids, you keep us jumpin’!), or just vivacious vibes … these were the events that felt Big this year.

And… one was simply IN A CATEGORY OF ITS OWN. Our friends at City Year Seattle/King County served up a massive participatory service project - building over 5,000 backpacks for students - inside their family-friendly Ripples of Hope fundraising event!

###

Well, hey there! If you’re still reading, thanks for staying with us through to the end of this article, and through to the end of this exhausting and exhilarating year. At Synchronicity, we’ll remember 2022 for the experimentation, the re-combining of new with old methods, the sense of possibility, the boldness, and the way we stretched and learned and grew.

Onward to the future.

New Year’s Blessings all around.
